What should I wear?
We suggest light colored, quick-dry clothing. Long sleeves and long pants provide better sun protection. A fleece and wind/waterproof jacket will protect against cold wind and passing rain showers. Flats booties or teva sandals are fine for wading in the backcountry. Don’t forget to bring your polarized sunglasses.
What type of boat will we be using?
We will be fly fishing Boca Grande in a Chittum Islamorada 18′ with a 2014 Yamaha 70 HP Engine
What Tackle Should I Bring?
For Redfish and Snook: 7, 8, and 9 weight fly rods; floating fly lines. For Tarpon, Jacks, and Cobia: 10, 11 and 12 weight fly rods and tarpon taper intermediate fly lines and floating fly lines. As always, ask us when booking Florida fly fishing trips, and we’ll recommend the right tackle for you to bring. Of course, we do provide tackle if you prefer.
